It\u2019s not a very well kept secret if you\u2019ve listened to the\u00a0<a title=\"The Sonic Society\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/www.sonicsociety.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sonic Society<\/a>, but it&#8217;s a secret from the wider world nevertheless- I love pulp.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m a fan of the simplistic good guy\/bad guy, high adventure, low depth characters of the age of the pulp magazines. Some of the work that was considered pulp back in the day has made the transition to modern fast-paced fantasy like <a title=\"Robert E. Howard\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_E._Howard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Robert E. Howard<\/a>\u2018s <a title=\"Conan the Barbarian\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Conan_the_Barbarian\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Conan the Barbarian<\/strong><\/a> (which seems like Shakespeare in its literary prowess when held up with some contemporary hits) and <a title=\"Dash Hammett\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dashiell_Hammett\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dashiell Hammett<\/a>\u2018s detective novels like <a title=\"The Thin Man\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Thin_Man\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>The Thin Man<\/strong><\/a> and <a title=\"The Glass Key\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Glass_Key\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Glass Key<\/a>, or <a title=\"E. Stanley Gardner\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Erle_Stanley_Gardner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Erle Stanley Gardner\u2019s\u00a0<\/a> <a title=\"Perry Mason\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Perry_Mason\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Perry Mason<\/strong><\/a> series and the list goes on and on.<br \/>\nGreat stories and great writers often got their start in the poor print paper of dime novels and thrilling anthology series.<br \/>\nSo, it was no contest when Jerry Robbins from <a title=\"Colonial Radio Theatre\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/www.colonialradio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Colonial Radio<\/strong><\/a> asked me if I were interested in writing the adaptation of <a title=\"Agent 13- The Serpentine Assassin\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160322233106\/http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Agent_13:_The_Serpentine_Assassin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Agent 13\u2019s The Serpentine Assassin<\/strong><\/a> by Flint Dille and David Marconi.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a wild ride and all of it fun doing this adaptation.. with the exception of being knocked out for nearly a month in illness. But, I\u2019m back in fighting fashion, like the Midnight Avenger. Ready to thrill with the action!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have a secret to tell.
